Mentoring Relationships: Building Mentors and Building Buddies
Each first-year or newly employed staff member is assigned a building mentor or building buddy. This assignment, along with supervision from the building principal, is intended to ensure support for each first-year or newly employed staff member, successful assimilation into the District and building culture, and assistance toward the mastery of teaching competencies as outlined in the Millard Instructional Model.
*District Contacts are also assigned to certificated staff members including specialty areas and Curriculum and Instruction MEP Facilitators.
Fall, Winter, and Spring Orientation are provided as professional learning venues to grow as an MPS certificated staff member. Each orientation offers timely support to learn the Millard Instructional Model domains and network with other first-year professionals.
